.....................Siamo giunti a 923 vittime, 4150 i feriti, 255 i bambini palestinesi orribilmente trucidati. Il computo delle vittime civile israeliane, fortunatamente, è fermo a quota 4. Gira voce che Olmert avrebbe fatto sapere ai suoi che il raggiungimento di 1000 vittime civili è il termine ultimo per arrestare questa brutale offensiva infanticida. Un pò come succede alla Vucciria di Palermo, dove i quarti di manzo goccialano sangue all'aperto, e si contratta la carne un tanto al chilo. Le apparizioni di Ismail Haniyeh sullo schermo sono seguitissime dai palestinesi della Striscia. Non si può parlare di tregua senza contemporaneamente prefissare una fine dell'assedio. Continuare ad assediare una Gaza ridotta in macerie, non permettere il confluire di viveri e medicinali, impedire la fuoriuscita di malati e di feriti, significa condannarla ad una più lunga agonia. Questo il sunto delle parole del leader di Hamas, pronunciate stasera da un bunker chissa dove sottoterra, che fanno breccia nell'opionione pubblica gazawi. Il discorso di un leader che avrebbe potuto fuggire a ripararsi altrove, e invece è rimasto qui a prendersi le bombe in testa come chiunque altro. Questo miei prose odierne sono state trocate sul nascere, dalla solita telefonata intimidatoria che ordina l'evocuazione prima di un bombardamento. Mi trovo nel palazzo dove risiedono i principali media internazionali, fra gli altri, Al Jazeera, Ramattan e Reuters. Abbiamo dovuto staccate i pc dalle pareti, precipitarci giù per le scale e riversarci in strada, dove con gli occhi incollati al cielo cerchiamo di scorgere da dove giungerà il fulmine distruttivo. Questa notte non ci saranno telecamere e reporters a documentare il massacro di civili, aleggia il fondato sospetto che le vittime innocenti saranno più del solito. Ancora per strada fisso Alberto e gli strizzo un'occhio, si avvicina e gli sussurrò in un orecchio se ritiene plausibile che le telefonata intimidatoria sia stato un segnale per noi due soli, dopo la scoperta di un sito statunitense di estrema destra che ci ha messo una taglia sulla testa: "ALLERTARE I MILITARI DELL'IDF PER COLPIRE L'ISM

Gemeinsame Erklärung zu Gaza von Mitgliedern des Abrahamischen Forums beim Interkulturellen Rat

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen,

 

Vertreter der jüdischen, christlichen und muslimischen Religionsgemeinschaften in Deutschland rufen in einer gemeinsamen Erklärung zum Frieden im Nahen Osten auf. Sie heben hervor:

• Nur durch Verhandlungen sind Lösungen zu erwarten;
• Die Zivilbevölkerung darf in keiner Weise in Kampfhandlungen verwickelt werden;
• Es muss verhindert werden, dass die Konflikte des Nahen Ostens auf  Deutschland übertragen werden;
• Juden, Christen und Muslime sind verpflichtet, Hass und Gewalt zu überwinden.

Die gemeinsame Erklärung wurde von Mitgliedern des Abrahamischen Forums beim Interkulturellen Rat in Deutschland erarbeitet. Der Text der gemeinsamen Erklärung findet sich im Attachment.

Help keep the peace in Gaza

Hi,

I've just heard about this emergency campaign urging for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Already 300 people have been killed in this escalating conflict. Now is the time to issue a demand to world leaders that the spiralling violence that has characterized the Israeli−Palestinian conflict must come to an end. In 2009 let's push for real peace to be achieved between Israel and Palestine. To learn more and to take action, read the email below:

Dear friends,

As we watch the Gaza bloodshed with horror, appalled at how the crisis is spiralling further out of control, one thing is clear −− this violence will only lead to further civilian suffering and an escalation of the conflict.

There must be another way. Over 300 are dead and hundreds more injured −− rockets are striking Ashdod deep inside Israel for the very first time, and the sides are mobilising for invasion. A global response has begun, but it'll take more than words −− the immediate violence won't end, nor will wider peace be secured, without firm action from the international community.

Today, we're launching an emergency campaign which will be delivered to the UN Security Council and key world powers, urging them to act to ensure an immediate ceasefire, address the growing humanitarian crisis, and take steps to build real and lasting peace.1 Follow this link now to sign the emergency petition and send it to everyone you know:

After eight or more years of ineffective US and global diplomacy −− and now Gaza's bloodiest day in recent memory −− we must issue a global outcry demanding that world leaders do more than make statements if they're to bring peace to this region. The UN, the European Union, the Arab League and the USA should now act together to ensure a ceasefire – which includes an end to rocket attacks into Israel and opening the checkpoints for fuel, food, medicine and other humanitarian aid deliveries.

With a new US President taking office in less than a month, a real opportunity exists to breathe new life into peace efforts. These latest hostilities require not only an immediate ceasefire but a commitment from Obama and other world leaders that resolution of the Israeli−Palestinian conflict is at the very top of their agendas. As the whole world is impacted by this ongoing conflict − we should demand nothing less.

In 2006 we mobilised for a ceasefire in Lebanon. For years we've worked to encourage a just and lasting peace, taking out billboards and ads across Israel and Palestine. Now as we head into 2009, we need to come together again to demand a peaceful and lasting resolution, instead of a further escalation of violence. In den R�umen der IG-BCE-Hauptverwaltung in Hannover begr��te der IG-BCE-Vorsitzende Hubertus Schmoldt am Donnerstag (04.12.) die Gewinner des diesj�hrigen Wettbewerbs "Die Gelbe Hand" des DGB-Vereins „Mach' meinen Kumpel nicht an!" gegen Ausl�nderfeindlichkeit und Rassismus. Er hoffe, dass das Thema „Diversity" mit den vielen Chancen, die eine kulturelle Vielfalt zweifellos er�ffnet, im Kampf gegen Ausl�nderfeindlichkeit und Fremdenhass verst�rkt zur Wirkung kommt. Foto: Staffen In seiner Laudatio f�r die jungen Preistr�gerinnen und Preistr�ger des Wettbewerbs lobte der diesj�hrige Schirmherr, Niedersachsens Innenminister Uwe Sch�nemann, die Teilnehmer. "Wir m�ssen wachsam sein. Rechtsextremismus beginnt in den K�pfen". Eingereicht wurde �ber 50 Wettbewerbsbeitr�ge - mehr als je zuvor. Die Ideen reichten von einem selbstkomponierten Rap-Song und selbstentwickelten Unterrichtsmodulen der Klasse BFO2 aus Frankfurt (1. Preis), einem Online-Tagebuch �ber eine Studienfahrt nach Auschwitz und Krakau von Auszubildenden der Firma ThyssenKrupp Nirosta (2. Platz) bis zu einem international gestalteten Bistro (3. Preis), Plakatentw�rfen, einem Film der DIDF-Jugend Krefeld gegen Vorurteile (Sonderpreis NRW) bis zum Rap-Song „Niedersachsen passt auf" (Sonderpreis Niedersachsen).
